Al-Ahly Sporting Club, commonly known

as Al-Ahly, is an Egyptian sports club based in Cairo. It is one of the most successful and popular football (soccer) clubs in Africa and the Middle East. The club was founded on April 24, 1907, by Omar Lotfi and a group of young Egyptians who were inspired by the nationalist sentiment of the time.


In its early years, Al-Ahly primarily focused on football, but it later expanded to include various other sports such as basketball, handball, volleyball, and more. The club's football team quickly gained success and became a dominant force in Egyptian and African football.


Al-Ahly has won numerous domestic and continental titles throughout its history. In the Egyptian Premier League, the club has won the title a record 42 times as of my knowledge cutoff in September 2021. Al-Ahly has also won the Egyptian Cup 37 times and the Egyptian Super Cup 11 times.


Internationally, Al-Ahly has achieved remarkable success. The club has won the CAF Champions League, the top club competition in Africa, a record 10 times, with victories in 1982, 1987, 2001, 2005, 2006, 2008, 2012, 2013, 2020, and 2021. They have also won the CAF Super Cup a منهrecord seven times.

 This was confirmed by Amir Tawfiq,  Director of Contracts for Al-Ahly Club and Acting Executive Director of Al-Ahly Club.


 On the other hand, the trio Rashdan, Kabaka, and Zaalouk were loaned.


 Al-Ahly Club has completed all administrative procedures related to the transfer of player Omar Kamal, who now plays for the national team in Côte d'Ivoire to participate in the matches and events of the African Nations Championship.
